This movie is hot. It's so hot, I think everyone should watch it. It should be aired nightly on Lifetime, because it's women-centric, sex-positive, beautifully filmed, and the perfect mix of reality and fantasy, great acting, and hot, hot sex. I can't say much more than that! Good things: - Pretty great dubbing. For anyone thinking of downloading or streaming this, I have a feeling you'll get the same English version I did- not the Spanish-only version J.D. Bauchery and The Porn Librarian appear to have seen (lucky you- while you could get the gist of things without English, it definitely helps to set and understand the scene). In some cases the actors are speaking English, but generally they are speaking in Spanish and therefore dubbed, in lovely, accented English. I was amazed at how good and professional it sounded. - Fantastic acting. No, really. Any of these folks could be in mainstream media, by my estimates. I was blown away, particularly by "The Good Girl", who completely sells herself as a shy 'good girl'. The characters, too, were written very realistically- as real human beings, motivated by lust, by love, by wanting to experiment, by revenge, by anger. - It's beautiful. Cinematography and editing get 50/10. Truly a work of art. - Nice plots. Sometimes they dragged on *just* a tad, but I appreciated them- in particular, for "The Good Girl", where it would have been pretty meaningless without the wonderful, exposition-revealing and character-displaying beginning. The little stories are well-crafted, believable, and they just work. Take away the explicit shots and it could be an erotic series on Oxygen or something, like "Bliss", but not as cheesy. - None of the women have the "pornstar look". It's actually rather surprising- if you look up the individual stars and their other work, they often look much different. But in this film, they are incredibly beautiful and yet natural. The breasts are real (well, maybe . . . at the very least, they don't look fake), and the women are incredibly elegant. It's like Erika Lust managed to take the pornstar cliches- Rich blonde Bimbo ("Jodetecarlos.com"), Girl Next Door ("The Good Girl"), Asian Girl ("Something About Nadia"), MILF ("Married With Children") and uncover all the stereotypes to get to the gorgeous core. I was amazed. - Sexy, sexy, sexy men. Seriously the sexiest men I've ever seen in straight porn. Their bodies are chiselled without falling prey to the Playboy, overly-buffed romance-cover thing. Finally, porn where you actually can lust after the hombres! - The music is utterly, fantastically incredible. In the first scene, it's soft and erotic and slightly techno, the second utilizes silence really well (you don't notice the lack of music), the third is dark, industrio-techno (just like its theme) and probably the most "pornish", the fourth is INCREDIBLE (just a demonstration of how music can set the mood of scene), and the last is very unobtrusive, light background electronic-sounding stuff. - Inclusion of a gay scene and a lesbian scene! Yay for Erika Lust! No longer do I have to switch movies to get my fill of all sorts of pairings. And if you happen to be the type who just KNOWS you won't like it (although, I have to ask- really? you sure? 'cause it's damn hot and might change your mind!), Hotmoviesforher.com lets you buy by the scene, so you can go ahead and bypass it. Criticism: - The scene "Something About Nadia" is sometimes a little dark, unfortunately. I'm tossed up on this one . . . even though the lighting is too dark for my taste, it also definitely establishes a very erotic mood. - Although "The Good Girl" has one of the most gorgeous real female orgasms I've ever seen, and "Something About Nadia" has lovely real orgasms, too, "Jodetecarlos.com" was sadly generally orgasmless (for the lovely female star, that is). That's not to say it's on par with other films- there's no faking of an orgasm, and she seems genuinely into what she's doing, and is obviously turned-on and enjoying it. - Sometimes it feels a little too "chick-flick"-y and almost smug. "The Good Girl" manages to mostly break that mold by sheer enthusiasm and great acting, but, I don't know . . . it has an air of empowerment that could be interpreted as feeling forced- like it's trying to shove it's "Strong women! Positive sexuality!" down your throat instead of just being fun and sexy. I think it's negligible, but some people, particularly those not used to it, might want to roll their eyes. - The last scene, "Breakup Sex" is shot only in black and white. I'm not sure if it's meant to be artistic or significant of the nature of the breakup sex or what, but I would have liked full color, to be able to see the gorgeous skin tones and all that. - The Carnivale mask in "Married With Children" borders on creepy. Sadly, because everything else is hot.
